Event: One Mission, Inc. :  Kid's Cancer Buzz Off
June 5, 2011 - Gillette Stadium

Myself, and my company participated in the 2011 Kid's Cancer Buzz Off, an event to raise money for children and their families fighting pediatric cancer. I chose to buzz off my hair because the toll pediatric cancer takes on patients and their families is profound. Children must endure painful treatments and lengthy hospital stays while their families cope with unimaginable stress, anxiety and financial strain.
All proceeds benefited Children's Hospital Boston and the vital programs and life-saving research they provide to help kids beat cancer. With great support from friends, family and businesses, I was able to reach and surpass my goal of $1,000 and was able to raise $1,013! The event was full of excitement, anticipation and immense honor. There was a total of 110 heads shaved, $140,000 raised, and many lives changed.
